Abstract
As a result of climate change, species will have to adapt spatially by shifting their ranges. This can only be ensured by a continuous biotope network, which therefore represents an important adaptation strategy. Therefore, a method for evaluating the climate resilience of biotope network planning is required. As part of this work, a GIS model was developed that uses the RCP 4.5 and RCP 8.5 scenarios of the IPPC status report to analyze the climate resilience of plans for wetland habitats. The results for the plans of the Nienburg/Weser landscape framework plan show that they cannot be considered climate resilient under the RCP 8.5 scenario. The model is an aid for the lower nature conservation authorities to check the resilience of biotope network planning.
